Like birds hanging in a poulterer's shop window...

I went hiking in the Marin headlands yesterday, in search of stinging nettle. I was more successful than I expected, and brought home three bags of nettles with leaves the size of my hand (and stings to match). Rubber cleaning gloves made the task of washing and tying them easier.

I am already making use of them, in peppermint-nettle tea, as an antihistamine to ease my itchy congested sinuses. They contributed to a fresh batch of cough syrup, as well. The rest should last me for quite a while once this cold is gone.
